I’m BACK everyone!!! I flew in yesterday from Hawai’i at around 430pm and I was STARVING. Markel’s parents were kind enough to pick us up in crazy LA 405 traffic and took us to a casual dinner for an early dinner. Coogie’s Cafe is very unassuming and located on the corner of Yale and Santa Monica Blvd in Santa Monica, CA. When we arrived at around 6pm, the only crowd was the early dinner crowd (aka senior citizens). I also failed in taking pictures because I SCARFED down my food and didn’t have time to think! haha
We ordered: Cheeseburgers (with fries), Patty Melt (with fries), and Grilled Chicken with steamed veggies, baked potato and tortilla chicken soup.
The service was incredibly friendly, the venue was super clean and the food was exactly what we were looking for. The food was on par with Denny’s, Cocos, cafe 50s and any other “diner” restaurant in your nearby neighborhood. Since Coogie’s is a quick walk from my apartment, I definitely suspect that Markel and I will be taking trips over there when neither of us feel like cooking.
