Oak Tree Inn, South Pasadena, CA

This past Saturday, I had lunch at Oak Tree Inn in South Pasadena.  OTI is one of the best Chinese restaurants in the area!  My friend had her rehearsal dinner here last year and that’s the moment I fell in love.  I actually loved the food so much I ordered an extra dish and took it home to Markel at like 10pm!  haha

Crispy Rice Soup

-DELICIOUS.  The rice softens with the hot soup broth and the veggies/seafood are cooked to perfection.

Marinated Fish (sorry ya’ll…can’t remember the name)

-This dish was good and the fish was super juicy.  In comparison with all the other yummy things on the table, however, it was my least favorite.  On its own…I definitely enjoyed it.

Marinated Beef

–Holy Smokes~ best dish of your life!

Green Beans

–I probably had more of this dish than anything else.  I don’t know how they did it, but the green beans were perfectly sautéed.  They were hot, seasoned with ingredients from heaven and crispy on the inside.  This is a dish I seriously need to learn how to cook.

Spicy Eggplant in Garlic Sauce

–oh my…I love eggplant, I love spice, I love garlic.  nuff said.

Spicy Salt Pork Chops

-My new favorite dish of a lifetime.  At first when I saw these I was like, “where’s the sauce?”.  But when I bit into it~ it was a spice/food orgasm in my mouth.  My taste buds danced with joy as I inhaled 3 more pieces.  I definitely plan on ordering this baby the next time I go.

Lunch crew!
