Korean Recipe Challenge #1: Miyeok guk

This is my favorite soup in the whole world.  It’s known as Birthday Soup but Moms who give birth eat this for months and months before and after the birth of their baby.  Seaweed is believed to be incredibly good for your blood, breastmilk, and Japanese people believe it makes your hair Blacker (which is perceived to be a sign of beauty).

For my first recipe, I used the recipe from Maangchi ahjumma (recipe below).  I followed it to a T, but added fish sauce instead of salt for more flavor.  This soup was so easy and delicious that I plan to make this one often. =)
