Blush Restaurant and Lounge in Santa barbara

image

My bestie from College celebrated her dirty thirty in Santa Barbara last month and for her birthday dinner we went to Blush Restaurant & Lounge.  The restaurant was located in the heart of all the downtown bars and even turned into a hot night spot after 11pm.  That part was super convenient since we could park once and walk around after dinner.

Overall the restaurant was nice, had a large outdoor area with great decor and the menu was amazing.  We were pretty exhausted from day drinking/wine tasting so we really enjoyed the nice outdoor atmosphere.  My only complaint is that it was hard to find our waitress…but oh well~ the rest of the night was lovely.

I ordered the Strawberry Ginger Old Fashioned (jack daniels honey whiskey, lemon juice, fresh muddled fruit & ginger beer).  SO FREAKING GOOD.  I normally hate whiskey but jack daniel’s honey whiskey tastes like candy.  I love mixology cocktails with lots of thought behind the ingredients so it’s a treat to get to try different ones. =)
