Holy crap why did I not kno about this before??? This drink is a little miracle worker in a can. I chugged this after a night of drinking and woke up hangover free~~~ I didn’t feel fresh as a flower the next morning but I also wasn’t puking with a crazy headache either. So huge plus! Next time I think I will try to drink this before a night of drinking and then again right after. :). For double the protection. Hehe
I saw blood oranges at Trader Joe’s and just HAD to make a cocktail with them! I had a bottle of Savignon Blanc leftover from a dinner and decided to use that as my base for this cocktail. =) This was such a wonderful and refreshing mid-week drink!
Here is my recipe:
1 (750ml) bottle of white wine (I used Savignon Blanc)
3 Blood Oranges Squeezed/muddled
1/4 cup of Brandy
2 cups of 7- Up (or any lemon lime soda)
(and i wished i had some mint to muddle with the blood oranges or add as a garnish)
Mommies night out!
i get the Grifone red wines often and really like them. they are mid to low priced wines that are solid. all their wines are mild and easy for newbie wine drinkers and seasoned winos alike. the bianco is light, crisp and refreshing. you can find the entire line at trader joe’s! =)
One of my biggest pregnancy cravings was OYSTERS! with the hustle and bustle of life with a new babe, i totally forgot about it until we went to Westside Tavern. Markel and I shared these babies and they were so yummyy~~ all i needed was a glass of champs and another half dozen! ;P
Solid Crisp Chardonnay. Fruity aromas and taste with hints of Vanilla/Cream. =D Would recommend this bad boy for any wine night or dinner.
Back in June (whoa time flies fast), I had my 31st birthday brunch at Salt Air on Abbott Kinney with my girlfriends. The day was nice and hot, the food at Salt Air was perfection, and afterwards we got to shop around and take in the lazy saturday afternoon. ❤
if you haven’t been to salt air, PLEASE check this place out. the service is incredibly friendly, the food is SUPERB, the drink menu is salivating and you always have a great time. abbott kinney is my favorite place to hang out these days and big brunches like this is exactly why!
favorite items at Salt Air: lobster roll, blueberry pancakes, roasted chicken, and oysters!
perfect little dessert to end the best brunch with my Bs. =)
