and now…for the delicious giovanni’s shrimp truck!! oh man, it’s such a treat to eat this. Between the four of us, we got 2 plates from Giovanni’s (garlic and butter) and 1 spicy shrimp plate from the korean truck next to it. All of them were yummy but I loved mixing the plain butter shrimp in with the spicy/garlic ones. It was a nice palate cleanser. =)
mike and i went to geste shrimp truck on maui a few days later and well… hands down that one rocked our world (post here). but giovanni’s is always an island favorite and a must stop when you go you!
Markel and I went to a wedding in March where they had a taco truck during the reception. DUUUUDE…the food was incredibly. The Al Pastor, Chicken and Carne Asada were on point as well as the huge buffet of toppings and salsas. I’m obsessed with food trucks like this and can’t wait to hire my own for an upcoming event. Tacos + Tequila = the best night ever.
Went there with friends recently and thought that the food was decent. I say decent because the first few bites you really like it. But halfway through, you realize…it’s REALLY heavy. Everything is rich, salty and greasy. I LOVE the blue crab grilled cheese sandwich~ but I would recommend pairing it with a light salad, fresh poke, or something else that isn’t greasy. Anything with Pork Belly in it is also REALLY good.
Customer service was REALLY top notch and the venue was clean with a great decor. Overall, great experience. Not sure if I would go back anytime soon though.
This past Sunday, some friends and I went to the fairfax flea market at fairfax high school in LA. And of course…I didn’t purchase any goods but I did scope out the food! =)
There were a ton of really great pieces that I wanted for my someday house~ and a bunch of cute jewelry, clothes and accessories as well. I highly recommend you going! Parking is free and entrance is only $2.
