soooo this wine night happened (literally) a year ago. i founds these pictures in my draft pile and i couldn’t believe i hadn’t already posted about it! *sigh * i’m so freaking behind on life you guys.
below we ordered dinner from a local mexican joint near her apartment in beverly hills. it was really delicious and reminded me of a small mexican shop in sacramento when i was growing up. we of course down the dinner with 2 bottles of wine and really had the night of our lives. haha just the two of us.
so much fun and just looking at these pics takes me back. xo
happy thursday everyone!!
delicious dessert! cupcakes and ice cream =)
taco plus…you’ve been hearing about it from me foreverrr from me…i freaking LOVE this place. it’s not only really clean inside (always a plus right?) but the customer service is friendly, food is BOMB and the prices are amazing.
Below is my steak quesadilla. DELIC
ANDDDD the sauces/salsas/toppings at the bar are really tasty. i’m in love with taco plus and it’s my go-to Mexican takeout place!
A couple of weekends ago Markel and I went to his nephew’s 16th birthday party and the menu was Mexican Food! Oh mannnn everything was UNBELIEVABLE. If it wasn’t made by Markel’s brother, it was bought fresh at a local Mexican Market. Carne Asada, Pulled Pork, Marinated Chicken, Pinto beans, Salsa…I died and went to heaven when I was eating this all with a fresh flour tortilla. *drool * Better than a food cart!!
Can’t believe he’s all grown up! This 16 year old is already over 6ft. CRAZYYY.
Markel and I went to Kay and Daves last Sunday when it was around 90 degrees. BEAUTIFUL SOCAL WEATHER.
We walked up and down washington blvd and found this adorable restaurant near the end of the street next to Trader Joe’s. The menu looked good, the place was packed and the venue was super cute.
Unfortunately, our experience there wasn’t awesome and we won’t be returning. The service was terrible, we had to continually flag SOMEONE down to give us water, our chips & salsa, take our order, give us our bill… GEEZ.
The food was good once it came, but Markel’s pork tacos were SUPER dry. So the waiter brought out another kind of pork tacos that were really good.
There were good reviews on yelp about the happy hour, but I won’t be going back to find out.
This was the first set. The one above was the second (tastey) set.
I got a Mexican inspired Eggs Benedict. Mine was REALLY good.
Chips and Salsa that took FOREVER to get and when it came…it was whatevs.
HOLY COW. Last summer (the last day of summer to be exact), my girlfriends and I went down to SD for a Girls Weekend. =) Our last stop on this trip was to Super Sergios and it BLEW MY MIND AWAY. Great Food, Incredibly Cheap, HUGE portions… AWESOME-sauce. Between the 6 of us we should have ordered half of what we did end up ordering. *sigh * we never learn…
